About Christi
I was born and raised in the town of Marysville, Washington, a small suburb about thirty miles north of Seattle. After graduating from Western Washington University with a degree in Communications, I took a job with a CBS affiliate in the Creative Services Department. Over the years my lifelong love of writing was put to good use; in addition to writing over three hundred television commercials, I earned the position as head writer for a weekly television show.
I left my television career when my husband and I found out we were expecting twins, but I couldn’t leave writing altogether. I’m now an award-winning author of Along the Way Home, a Historical Western about life on the 1843 Oregon Trail, and the sequel, Tainted Dreams, a Historical Western that details the struggles settlers faced while trying to stake claims in Oregon Territory.
Currently, I live in a small town in Oregon with my husband, and our ten year old twins. The location of our home holds a special place in my writing life; the view from the back door is a hill travelers looked upon years ago as they explored the Oregon Territory and beyond.
I’m a member of Women Writing the West and The Ridge Writers, a local writing critique group. I love coffee, sticky notes, and Oxford commas.
